All the artifacts used in this portfolio are featured on this page categorized by the three main themes: intercultural communication, critical pedagogy, technology, and the sub-themes (cultural literacy, critical media literacy, transformative learning, and digital technology). The artifacts are also distributed in the relevant subject areas as appropriate.

Intercultural Communication Artifact 3. This artifact is a Powerpoint slide on intercultural communication workshop based on the analysis and synthesis paper as shown in artifact 3 above. This presentation was conducted in-class in Adobe Connect, and more recently, a voice-over Youtube video was recorded with each slide to easily connect the themes from each slide presentation (EDUC 5001G).

Technology Artifact 3. Wikiography is a paper that describes my thought process, and my learning on the topics posted on the course wiki and on the technology as I created the course wiki pages as posted above in artifact 1 for intercultural communication and cultural literacy.

Digital Literacy
Digital Literacy Artifact 1 includes a weekly journal on the readings for the Digital Literacy: Theory, Practice and Research course (EDUC 5304G), which provides insights into the affordances and constraints of media. The authors, Jones and Hafner (2012), categorize them into five different kinds: “affordances and constraints on what we can do, what we can mean, how we can relate to others, how or what we can think, and finally, who we can be” (p. 5). |
